New job opportunity, I am looking for an IP/MPLS Engineer to work a 12 month rolling contract based in Oman.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

·      Implementation and assistance in the maintenance of all routers, switches and firewall equipment to ensure optimum performance at all times.
·      Drive the adoption of next generation technologies through lifecycle programs
·      Act as an evangelist for the network and our architectures, ensuring support and acceptance of our strategy across departments.
·      Identify, acquire and/or train junior engineers on the introduction of new processes, techniques, and technologies as necessary in support of new services or service features.
·      Contribute to developing business cases and conducting proof of concept for new product offerings.
·      Ensure the high availability and reliability of the network supporting the region’s Internet/IP and Data systems and networks.
·      Review technical design documentation and implement technologies within IP/MPLS networks to support business and customer needs.
·      Provide 2nd tier technical support.
·      Assist with the development of processes and procedures outlining clear operational guidelines.
·      Work with internal as well as external technical teams during design, development, and implementation phases of various network-related initiatives.
·      Install, Configure and manage Network management systems and conversant with IP network management concepts and procedures
·      In-depth knowledge of Cisco IOS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS VPNv4/v6, IPv4/IPv6 and multicast environments
·      Knowledge of Unix/Linux Operating Systems
·      Domain Name concepts and configuration
·      Implementation of IP/MPLS and Network Security designs along with IP/MPLS networking best practices
·      Analytical and open minded
