xGW

ZTE’s xGW stands for Unified GateWay (also known as ZXUN xGW), which is a unified packet core product developed by ZTE. It can be deployed in various configurations to support 2G/3G (as GGSN), 4G/LTE (as PGW), and 5G NSA/SA access (as UPF), meeting the needs of different applications in network evolution. The ZXUN xGW has two product forms: one uses NFV/SDN technology for hardware and software decoupling, and the other uses traditional technology with proprietary hardware.

Here are some of the basic features and functionalities of the ZXUN xGW:

• Multi-Access Support: It supports 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G network technologies simultaneously.
Virtualization Functions: Includes support for automatic deployment, elastic scaling, and self-healing capabilities.
• High Integration: Offers large user capacity, low power consumption, and a small footprint.
• Convergent and Shared Resource: Simplifies network interworking and resource sharing.
• Easy Operation & Maintenance (O&M): Features one-click deployment, automatic O&M, and elastic scaling.
• Core Network Functions: Provides functions such as routing and forwarding, tunnel management, address management, user plane functions, billing, RADIUS, DHCP, IP over L2TP, VPN access, PCC, DPI, video optimization, QoS, security, OCS load balancing, redirection, user data management, message masking, NTP, daylight saving, APN, multi-PLMN, multi-SIM, and APN-based bearer control.

These features enable the ZXUN xGW to serve as a versatile and efficient solution for managing core network operations across different generations of mobile networks.
