Adaptive Modulation (AM) is a technique used in a radio network that allows a radio to change its modulation rate whenever the channel conditions change. The idea is the adoption of transmission parameters based on the channel conditions through measurement and monitoring of the parameters. that means the channel conditions will always be measured at each and every condition, and according to the channel condition, the transmission parameters are selected.
What advantages of using Adaptive Modulation in your Network?
- AM improves the rate of transmission, and bit error rates by exploiting the channel state information that is present at the transmitter.
- AM exhibits great performance enhancements.
- AM guarantees and improve the efficiency of the link and utilization of Radio resources.
- AM maximizes the throughput of a Radio Network
- AM prevents interference and overcomes fading.
- AM Allows the Radio to choose the best or higher-order modulation depending on the channel condition.
