Maintaining telecom BTS and MW sites in good operating order requires preventive maintenance (PM). You may assist in preventing outages and maintaining connectivity for your clients by performing routine PM.
- Power Check: This includes checking the LLVD&BLVD, site load, lugs availability, and CB trip sensor alarm cable.
- Labeling: This includes labeling rectifier CBs and connected cables, DCDU input and output power cables, BBU, RFU, RTN, NE40 fibers, BBU alarm cables and RTN login cables, external alarm cables, BTS, TX rack and shelter labeling, and dismantled material labeling (to be dismantled).
- Cleaning: This includes cleaning fan units (e.g., BBU, RTN, IPASO) by blower, cleaning all devices (e.g., BBU, RTN, IPASO, NE40, OSN) by blower, cleaning all cabinets, racks, BTS, rectifier module by blower and cloth, and cleaning BTS filter (which will be available in BTS door) by removing and taking outside the shelter and cleaning it by hitting.
- Tower Work: This includes checking waterproof, antenna and mount tightness, routing, WG tape, and protection cap.
- Local Login: This includes checking door alarm, low battery alarm, VSWR, active alarms, and history on BBU each control card (GTMU, UMPT, LMPT…) and active alarms, history, performance check (PMON error), RSL and XPD on RTN/NEC each IDU.
- Overall: This includes checking BBU and RFU dummy, Roxtec, cable tray, indoor and outdoor cable routing, retighten power connector on RFU and BBU and retighten jumper connectors on RFU, equipment fixations, RO/EM/Civil related snags identification and escalation, TDI collection, share UP/Dwon tower Climbing videos, dismantled material check and escalate, writing down all done and pending works in the access log book, and RTN380 ODU login cable check.
