DoS Attack

Example:
Attacker floods online shopping website during sale, causing it to crash or slow down, blocking genuine customers.
DDoS Attack
• Multiple devices overwhelm a target.
Examples:
1. Flood Attack
A malicious user uses an army of hacked computers to flood a website, crashing it down.
2. DNS Amplification Attack
Attackers trick DNS servers into sending overwhelming responses, knocking down the target’s network.
3. SYN Flood Attack
Attacker overwhelms a server with fake connection requests, blocking real connections.
4. HTTP/S Flood Attack
Massive simultaneous requests overload a website, making it unresponsive to genuine users.
5. Ping Flood Attack
Attackers flood a network with pings, clogging bandwidth and disrupting normal traffic flow.
