Affiliate Program - Lead Strategist

We’re looking for a seasoned “Affiliate Program – Lead Strategist” to take full ownership of both the strategy and execution of our affiliate marketing efforts. This role is crucial for driving growth and achieving top-tier performance and engagement. A strong understanding of affiliate marketing, along with expertise in the WordPress ecosystem, or SaaS, is essential. You’ll lead the team, manage processes, and drive business growth through innovative affiliate strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the affiliate marketing program, including strategy development and execution for both in-house and ShareASale platforms.
Set quarterly targets for the team and conduct bi-weekly performance reviews to track progress and ensure goals are met.
Manage the onboarding process for new affiliates, swiftly moving them into the activation phase.
Develop and implement strategies to drive customer acquisitions through new and existing affiliate partnerships.
Create and manage customized CPA and revenue share models tailored to affiliate needs.
Propose and develop trigger-based email campaigns, automation processes, and other improvements to optimize the affiliate program.
Identify and establish exclusive partnerships with high-potential affiliates to expand program reach.
Oversee monthly affiliate payouts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Monitor key metrics like ARPU, CAC, and LTV to evaluate program effectiveness and ROI.
Plan and execute promotional campaigns, including YouTube-sponsored content, meet-ups, and conferences, to maximize engagement.
Execute outreach campaigns to onboard new affiliates, incorporating competitive analysis and persona targeting.
Work with the SEO and Content teams to enhance the reach and effectiveness of affiliate campaigns.
Provide training and development support to new team members.
Resolve conflicts with affiliates to maintain strong relationships.
Engage with industry influencers, participate in online communities, and contribute to plans for affiliate marketing events.

Requirements

At least 5 years of proven experience in affiliate marketing and program management, with a strong track record of driving growth and performance.
Experience within the WordPress ecosystem or in SaaS-based products.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive affiliate strategies and campaigns.
Expertise in managing large-scale payouts and a deep understanding of affiliate compensation models, profitability, and ROI.
Proficiency with affiliate management platforms such as Impact, PostAffiliatePro, ShareASale, and in-house systems.
Strong analytical skills with experience in performance metrics and reporting, including familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, SEMrush, and Ahrefs.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to create and optimize digital marketing creatives and campaigns.
Proven experience in managing or leading teams, with a collaborative mindset.
Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in affiliate marketing.
Experience in training and mentoring team members.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
