RAN Configuration Engineer

We have an urgent requirement for RAN Configuration Engineer for our office in Africa.

– Responsible for Change Management activities of RAN nodes data base in 2G, 3G & 4G network and feature enable/disable as per plan.i.e (MOCN)

– Creation and deletion of database at OSS/EMS as per plan provided by Customer.

– Rehoming and re-parenting, Frequency Reframing of RAN nodes with different core –nodes as per plan and KPI validation, no degradation of KPI and IP connectivity post Activity.

– Addition or deletion of nodes, Migration of sites from One BSC/RNC to other BSC/RNC’s. as well as deletion of unused interface and data base from RAN Nodes.

– Perform Integration of new cells and sites i.e. data base creation and functionality testing.

– Configuration of RAN nodes for the deployment of cell sites and rollout activities of GSM/UMTS/LTE RAN nodes

– Perform Root Cause Analysis for Fault and support Incident Management

– Can prepare script in Ericsson OSS/EMS for site integration & debugging

Primary Skills:

– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline is required. Computer Science or Telecommunication Engineering degree is preferred.

– 5-8 year’s domain experience with Wireless Service provider in RAN CM Operations, Configurations and Integration (2G, 3G, and 4G), knowledge

– Experience in configuration of new nodes in RAN for 2G, 3G & 4G sites.

– Experience in RAN Network KPI’s, Performance and SLA Management

– hands-on  CM experience is must as rehoming and Re-parenting Activities.
– Experience to run the change plan at OSS and Individual RAN Node.
