VoNR – Voice over New Radio
(VoNR) also know as “Voice over 5G” is the capability of the 5G network to handle voice calls. The voice component in 5G Standalone (5G SA) deployments is provided using a system called IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) whereas 5G non standalone (5G NSA) rely on fall back to 4G VoLTE or even earlier technologies like CSFB in 3G and 2G networks.
