strongSwan – is a complete IPsec solution providing encryption and authentication to servers and clients. It can be used to secure communications with remote networks, so that connecting remotely is the same as connecting locally. It supports various features such as Internet Key Exchange (IKE) protocols, modular plugin system, different authentication and cryptography methods, portability and integration with different operating systems and platforms. It also allows configuring route-based VPNs with different approaches such as VTI devices, XFRM interfaces or TUN devices.
