SFTP – Secure File Transfer Protocol
(SFTP) is a secure standard network protocol used to transfer computer files from one host to another host. It is an extension of the Secure Shell protocol (SSH) version 2.0 to provide secure file transfer capabilities. The file transfer is based on SSH connections which are encrypted by different algorithms.
