OSPF – Open Shortest Path First
(OSPF) is a link-state routing (LSR) protocol that uses Dijkstra algorithm to calculate the shortest/best path for IP packets. OSPF is an Interior Gateway Protocol (IGP) and is used to distribute IP routing information throughout a single Autonomous System (AS) in an IP network.
