MPBN – Mobile Packet Backbone Network
(MPBN) also referred to as a “Multi-Service IP Backbone” is an all-IP transport network used to interconnect multiple core network nodes and services which can be categorized as; signaling, voice, data/media. MPBN is built on a common backbone technology known as IP/MPLS.
IP/MPLS has become the standard technology for fixed, mobile, and converged networks because it’s flexible, scalable, easy and fast to deploy new services, and greatly reduces operation costs (OPEX).
