MariaDB

MariaDB – is a database server that is compatible with MySQL, which means it can use the same data and commands as MySQL. MariaDB was created by some of the original developers of MySQL, who wanted to keep the project open source and independent from Oracle, the company that acquired MySQL in 2010. MariaDB has some features and improvements that MySQL does not have, such as better performance, scalability, security and compatibility.
