IPWorks – is an Ericsson software platform that provides DNS, DHCP/NACF, ENUM, CLF and AAA services. IPWorks also includes element management system for configuration and control of these services.
- DNS – commonly used to map alphanumeric names to IP addresses and vice versa
- DHCP – handles dynamic IP address assignment and configuration
- ENUM – provides E.164 number translation to SIP URI
- CLF – provides location information of fixed network subscribers
- AAA – provides authentication, authorization and accounting function
IPWorks consists of several components that are divided in two major groups:
- Protocol Server Components: These components are responsible for delivering the actual service in the network.
- Element Management Components: These are responsible for the provision, configuration, and control and monitoring of the services.
