APNIC is an acronym that stands for Asia Pacific Network Information Centre. It is the regional Internet address registry (RIR) for the Asia-Pacific region. It is responsible for allocating and registering Internet number resources (such as IP addresses and AS numbers) to its members, who are mainly Internet service providers, telecommunication organizations, and large corporations.
