Performance – PS Analysis Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance – PS Analysis Engineer to join our Mobile Core Network team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering packet-switched (PS) core network analysis on demand, short-term, and long-term basis. This role involves supporting both Ericsson internal teams and customer-facing operations under our managed services project, driving improvements in performance, developing automation tools, dashboards, and ensuring KPI compliance across diverse technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
·      Conduct PS Core network performance analysis (ad-hoc, short-term, and long-term).
·      Support Ericsson teams and customer interface for performance-related escalations and root cause analysis.
·      Develop and maintain tools/processes/reports for performance management.
·      Analyze call flows and performance issues using EZE and other diagnostic tools.
·      Monitor and optimize mobile core KPIs across 2G, 3G, 4G, VoLTE, IMS, and 5G networks.
·      Create technical and executive-level reports for internal and customer stakeholders.
·      Lead network studies and tuning exercises for continuous improvement.
·      Develop and implement dashboards and business intelligence reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
·      Engage with cloud-native and virtualized environments for Ericsson network functions.
·      Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on performance objectives.

Required Technical Experience:
·      Ericsson CS Core: MSC-S, MSC-BC, STP, MGW, HLR-FE, HSS-FE, CUDB
·      Ericsson PS Core: SGSN, MME, GGSN, EPG, SAPC, IPWorks, Smart Edge
·      Ericsson IMS Core: P/I/S-CSCF, MTAS, ATFC, MRF, MGCF, LRF, etc.
·      Ericsson 5G Core SA: AMF, SMF, UPF, UDM, PCF, NEF, NSSR, NRF, etc.
·      Understanding of cloud environments (OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
·      Deep knowledge of telecom protocols and interfaces (ISUP, BICC, SIP, Diameter, MAP, Gx, Gy, S1, S5, S6a, N1-N6, etc.)
·      Experience with performance KPIs, counters, and alarm/event correlation
·      Proficient in tools such as SQL, VBA, Python, Linux Shell Scripting

Soft Skills:
·      Strong teamwork, collaboration, and cultural sensitivity
·      Cloud or Kubernetes certifications (e.g., CKA, CKAD)
·      BI or data analytics certifications (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
