Great new job opportunity for a Mobile Core Network Performance Engineer

Contract Duration: 12 Months
Job Summary:
The Mobile Core Network Performance Engineer is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of the mobile core network, ensuring the delivery of high-quality network services and compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities:
· Analyze and optimize performance of CS, PS, IMS, IN core domains.
· Develop and monitor KPIs, perform capacity audits and degradation root cause analysis.
· Support cross-functional teams (Design, Optimization, Back Office, etc.) with core performance data.
· Analyze international voice and data KPIs (NER, ASR, VoIP MOS, Jitter, etc.).
· Assess international roaming and signaling traffic (MAP & Diameter).
· Use tools like ENIQ, Anritsu MasterClaw/eO-Live, and Business Objects for performance reporting and data visualization.
· Design and configure performance dashboards, alarms, and thresholds.
· Conduct proactive risk identification and mitigation based on performance trends.
· Coordinate with vendors (Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia) and support SLA/KPI governance.
· Lead planning and performance activities during major events (Hajj, Eid, etc.).
· Deep expertise in Mobile Core Nodes: MSC-S, MGW, STP, IMS, SGSN/MME, GGSN/PGW, PCRF, SDP, VS, AIR, IVR.
· Sound knowledge of signaling protocols: ISUP, BICC, MAP, CAP, SIP, Diameter, H.248, SS7 over IP.
· Understanding of interface protocols: Iu, A, S1, S6a, Gx, Gy, Gi, SGS, etc.
· Proficiency in UNIX shell scripting, SQL, and performance management database tools.
· Skilled in ENIQ Business Objects, Anritsu MasterClaw/eoLive, MS Excel (formulas/macros), Power BI.
