Senior Cloud Core Network Expert (Huawei Equipment)

Tangent International are urgently looking for Senior Cloud Core Network Expert (Huawei Equipment) to work a 12 month rolling contract based in Uganda (Kampala)

Job Description

• Perform consultative or on-site commissioning support of Huawei Cloud Core Network elements, platforms, systems, applications and services like SSP/Cloud Platform/CS/PS/IMS/UDC/DSC,etc.
• Huawei Cloud Core Network project delivery technical management like customer relationship, project progress, quality and cost control.
• Independently perform diagnostic investigation of complex customer-impacting Huawei Cloud Core Network issues towards the goal of fast resolution.
• Perform software upgrade of Huawei Cloud Core Network elements, platforms, systems, applications and services like SSP/Cloud Platform/CS/PS/IMS/UDC/DSC,etc.
• Analyze Huawei Cloud Core Network design, reliability, performance, and maintenance problems and provide design improvements and recommendations to improve the customer voice like CS/VoLTE or PS data service experience and operational support
• Independently analyze highly complex technical Huawei Cloud Core Network voice and data service issues that cannot be resolved through routine or automated operations and maintenance procedures and drive investigations to isolate the root cause for fast resolution and limit customer impact.

Skill requirements:

• Applying expert-level knowledge of SIP/Diameter/GTP/MAP/ protocols, familiar with Core Network architecture, and have experience in delivering Core Network products ( like SSP/Cloud Platform/CS/PS/IMS/UDC/DSC,etc.);
• Using knowledge of IP protocols including TCP, UDP, SCTP, IPSec, TLS, HSRP, and STP to analyze and isolate IP network faults that could impact the operations of Core Network nodes and impact customer service, including reviewing IP network design of Core Network nodes and identifying possible flaws and improvements.
• Using Linux to perform routine operational and maintenance OS level tasks, including performing system backups, creating and managing file systems, and searching thru log files,etc.
• Those who are certified or familiar with the Huawei Cloud Platform are preferred.
